It has been officially revealed by Walt Disney World that Splash Mountain in Magic Kingdom will close on January 23, 2023. On January 22, 2023, you will no longer be able to experience the attraction in its existing configuration.
The animated Disney movie "The Princess and the Frog" served as inspiration for the transformation of this attraction into Tiana's Bayou Adventure. The brand-new facility is scheduled to open in 2024. Splash Mountain at Disneyland has not yet set a shutdown date.
Concept art for a new scene on the planned attraction has been unveiled along with further plot information as part of today's presentation.
According to Disney, Tiana's Bayou Adventure will have new characters and scenarios that take place after the incidents in the first movie.
